Josh Hirshberg
- A native of New Hampshire, Josh traded in the
iced coast for the complex and variable snow of Colorado.
Moving to Summit County, he promptly immersed himself in
studying (and skiing) the Colorado snowpack. Josh has
brought self direction to his formal education with one
minor in Snow Studies, a second minor in Social Ecology, and
a major in Visual Art from Prescott College. Josh has
instructed level 1 and 2 avalanche education courses through
the American Avalanche Association, AIARE, and Prescott
College. He has also worked as an assistant backcountry ski
guide. Josh has resided in the Roaring Fork valley and has
been involved with the RFAC since December, 2005. When not
on snow, Josh enjoys biking, climbing, creating visual art,
and enacting his utopian vision for social change. |
